Netstar brand identity and CI guidelines
Netstar, an Altron company, has been making South African roads safer since 1994. In 2024 it turned 30, and marked the milestone with a new brand.
The challenge. Thirty years in, Netstar was no longer just a tracking and recovery company. It had become a telematics and data business with an AI-enabled vision, but the brand still told the old story. The anniversary was the moment to show where it was going next.
The idea. Simpler. Safer. Smarter. A fresh, minimal identity built around the omnipin: a location pin turned into a 360° device for an omni-channel technology company. Its six blades stand for Netstar’s six brand pillars: sustainability, efficiency, safety, security, compliance and Big Data as a Service.
The work. A complete CI guide covering:
- Logo and colour variations
- Blue-led palettes with gradients and accessibility rules
- Ubuntu typography
- The omnipin device
- Tagline and messaging for consumer and fleet
- Contour-line image overlays, South African photography and pillar imagery
- Iconography
- Templates for social, events, collateral, advertising, web, PowerPoint and video
The new brand rolled out across every touchpoint in June and July 2024.
